1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Ravello Plaza Indy's shot indoors vs Cigar Beale PTB outside....crazy how much color depth shell can convey.

Also, I was in Alden NY recently and noticed they have a great pair of shell loafers. LHS on the GRANT last.

It's a great hybrid between the dressier shape and profile of the Full Strap loafer, and the more subtle half strap LHS that is usually found in Van last make ups.

it's on this page, but definitely worth consideration.

Thanks Mr C. The photos on their website are not great, so it's always helpful to hear from someone who's seen their make ups in person.

I have this shoe in black. I wore it quite a bit when I first got it as it was my first black Alden shell; however, it has generally been replaced by PTB, NST, etc when I reach for a black pair. It's a cool shoe but I honestly think the full strap and LHS each work better for their intended purpose.

Alden Madison also sells a a split toe loafer in grant

The split toe loafer is actually the NST front on a loafer on the grant last. For us fans of the NST, the loafer version is a must have as it puts in the convenience of a loafer what some think to be one of Alden's most distinctive and attractive design features. This Alden NYC design, like the monk strap NST make-up that leathersoul did a few years ago, is a great make-up that people here should check out. Alden NYC did have some of these NST loafers in cigar cordovan as well as color 8 and black cordovan.

Namor recently had some great photos of this model on his tumblr comparing the height of the vamp to a standard pair of 684's. I believe the pair is up for sale on ebay too.

haaa, beat me to it, zbix. I do have a pair listed size 11.5. I can fit into a size 11.5 grant last boot however the loafer doesnt have as much wiggle.

I wish I could rewind back to July 2012... I had LS (BH) on the phone and confirmation of my size in this drool-worthy grail. I couldn't pull the trigger because I didn't have my cc on me. When I called back later that day, it was gone! [IMG]

God bless whoever has that 10D! Wonderful bluchers BlueCollar! Enjoy in great health...
