1. Welcome to the new Styleforum!

We are currently fine-tuning the forum for your browsing pleasure, so bear with any lingering dust as we work to make Styleforum even more awesome than it was. I'd like to keep you abreast of the improvements we've made over the past few days.
@notification emails have been added, in response to user requests

Attached images are now Full Size by default

Users are now all allowed three (3) links in their signature files,

SSL certification is now in place so you can all browse securely.

The server has been reconfigured so that site speeds will improve.

Notice: Right now the site is slow because we are fixing all the images from the past 4 months. Many of you noticed that these were missing, and we are fixing that problem now. Unfortunately, it is taking up a lot of resources and causing the site to be slow.

Oh, and don’t forget to head over to the Styleforum Journal, because we’re giving away two pairs of Carmina shoes to celebrate our move!

Please address any questions about using the new forum to support@styleforum.net

    Cheers,

Tremendous, Namor. I still kick myself regularly for not pulling the trigger on these when I had my 3 month opportunity!! Continue to wear often and in great health my friend...

would anyone care to offer their experience of how C width Barrie's compare to the D and E widths of the half size down?

9c ptb fit great. 8.5e naval boot was too wide in the heel, would never have worked. I've come to accept that 9c is the only size that will work, so I don't try to compromise on fit.

Thanks for the picture and the comparison. I have the 1K boot in 12D, and have always thought an 11.5D would have fit me better. The barrie last seems to be a little sleeker than the 1K, which is exactly what I was going for. I'll keep my eyes on that JCrew boot, perhaps a Christmas present to myself....

    Snaaaaake, snaaaaaaake, snaaaaaaaaaaake!

I'm actually wearing my pair today. been stuck in a doctors waiting room...

I like the subtle details like the horizontal Indy-like stitching and perf cap-toe.

IMO it's been that way for a while. I joined there before SF.

Does anyone find their barrie chukkas fit differently than their barrie high boots?

Is it true that Uncle Mac will be selling Aldens in 8.5C?

If so, does he post them on the Marketplace forum?
