1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

and on a different last than barrie if i remember correctly, maybe aberdeen? i know sid mashburn in atl had an un-advertised ravello makeup in very limited sizes last time in was in there 6 months or so ago.

pics of said 25 y.o. chukkas? i love pics of new makeups as much as the next guy, but this thread seriously needs an infusion of older and well worn shoes.

shame, but if it were me, I'd return them.

unrelated, but similar.. the ravello LWB I purchased this week have an 'obvious' cleanup mark on the toe. I'll assume at the factory. not bad enough for me to return, something similar would happen if stepping off a curb poorly.

the color difference in your chukkas, I dont think I could live with. just my .02

Went stomping around the vineyards of the Willamette Valley today. I really wanted to wear my new 8 Indys, but the threat of rain and mud proved too much so I opted for my well worn Roy Boots, which are so experienced with these types of excursions:

Does anyone know the Dover PTB style numbers? Union made have some suede on the Barrie Last.
Basically would be useful info (for when the shoemart list to go around) to know what style numbers designate Dover - other than just looking at the shape obviously

Pretty sure the shoe is this pair on the modified last. Price was like $500 too but they don't ship to US

Absolutely gorgeous boots! I hope to find a pair in a sz 14 eventually. That and a pair of suede chukkas, which I believe may not be made in a 14 unfortunately.

My Carmina shells are quite a bit drier than my Horween sourced shells. Don't know if that is due to the shell itself or if Carmina does something to it in its finishing process.

Great looking Roy boots CEE88. It wouldn't hurt to actually wear your new Indy's in "the field" so to speak sometimes. It's been my experience that shell cordovan cleans up easier after exposure to bad weather and mud than my calfskin footwear.
