1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I was going to say they looked almost like cigar, but I assumed it was just the lighting/way the pic came out. If that is how they look up close in the flesh, I'm very excited about my pre-order -- assuming they come in looking the same. Enjoy those!

The photo is pretty accurate, at least on my monitor. In bright sunlight of course the purple tones comes out but inside or in indirect light they look very dark which I like on this style.

    kwhitelaw - Outstanding collection!

Alden won't change the sole so no need to send them to the US.
I'd think the Shoe Healer in the UK would be able to handle a resole.

I have a cigar indy boot from teshoemart and a cigar plain toe boot from frans boone. Both on commando. I got on a pre order for the frans boone boot, the indy just showed available one day on their website

this latest batch of ravello I grabbed this week (ptb and lwb) may very well satisfy my 'need' for cigar lwb tbh. wasnt expecting it to be so dark, was anticipating more a shade of my day tripper

Agreed. I had planned on a brown cordovan LWB from another manufacturer but now I don't think I will be

assuming we are the same page with said other manufacturer... I may employ them for a dark brown shell boot (if I cannot obtain a commando sole brown boot) and then i may every well call it quits on future purchases..

unless an influx of #4 appears out of nowhere lol. love my #4 wallet

Mine was actually a Carmina in Dark Cognac.

I did do boots and Chukkas as well in the brown you are referring to :) I think you would be pleased

carmina too rich for my blood shame to say. atleast in cordo. i wear very little calf, so I don't even pay much attention.

I just want a cigar boot (indy, wingtip, tanker) and I think I'll be good to go.

Great looking shoes Jason. Nice to see you still lurking around here. You deserve a lot of the credit for some of Unionmade's finest Alden make-ups.
