1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Plaza Chukka sounds awesome! I honestly find Chukkas a little awkward to wear due to them being ankle high... I have the 8 Barrie Chukka... Nice boot though.

let me expand on my earlier statement a moment * when I received a call from kathy earlier, I was in the office and in front of a half dozen different things. I saw the call pop up and hoped it meant my order would be fulfilled. we (kathy and I) briefly chatted about cigar (after securing CC info for my other pair), but it was a quick conversation. I didnt attempt to jump on a list or anything, just merely secure the pair in question that the initiated call pertained to.

permitting I make it in there thursday, I'll see what else I can find out and report back. I know alden frowned upon them speaking on the forums (the email list debacle from last yr with Che, bless her heart), but I'll see what I can come back with.

shame, IIRC, from an earlier email convo, very rarely do sizes about 11 get ordered.

Sorry to hear of your experience. However in this instance you are both correct. kwhitelaw mentioned specifically a cigar LWB. The unconfirmed order that Alden DC has in is for a cigar PTB. These are different makeups. So if he is on the hunt for a Longwing then DC is not the place for him. Last I knew Alden of Carmel had a few limited sizes in stock but that was a few months ago

cigar chukka (barrie) is probably my most worn (and complimented) pair. the #8 plaza chukka came from LS at their first of the year discount, easy grab at the price. it helped negate me grabbing a ptb in #8 imo

pm your sizes across various lasts. I'd be happy to message you should I come across something that might work for, and go so far as to purchase the pair and arrange delivery and payment with you.

That's extremely generous and very much appreciated. I'm in the area a lot, though, and so can get there every now and again. Thank you.

Which boot would you say looks better worn in, the 403 Indy or Roy?

I saw this on the Roy and the wear looks awesome:

Still, the stitching on the Indy looks great and catches the eye. I'm also concerned about comfort. Seems like the crepe sole is much more comfortable for every day wear. Don't know for sure.

    happy hunting!
