1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

If I recall correctly, Shoe Mart receives almost all of aldens defects, so this could include J. Crews, Leather Sole, ect.

I'm sad to say this but I'm deciding to forgo my pair of 8.5D ravello lwb at alden DC. I just can't swing the money for them at this moment as I've got a coupe other things to take care of.

hopefully this pair goes to a forum member!

yup...I had been on the pre-order list for over a year. When I talked to them on Friday the one person in front of me had finally gotten back to them and said they were taking them. Apparently something changed over the weekend as I got a call today they were available. I was surprised to say the least...

I use an Alden Foot Balance insole on my Indys. They were always a bit too roomy for me and the insole has made them a perfect fit. I believe it was BeSpiffington who tipped me off to the insoles.

I'll have to try this. Both my Indy and LWB are too roomy. I think I tried a Dr Schollz but it became too tight.

Wow...I have to do this for my PTBs. Did those insoles just fit in there perfect for the PTBs? They would really help me out with my slight heel slip I think.

    Thanks BeSpiff!!

The Aldens are not the thinnest but they break in nicely. I am actually starting to prefer a shoe/boot with a bit of room and the use of an insole as opposed to a snug fit. I am going to try a pair of these (probably one pair of slim tech and one pair of leather or original) next to see if they work when I need something thinner than my Alden one
