Not bad! That's pretty cool how the sole is flush with the leather. When you mentioned you were getting cat's paws done I expected it to come out like workboot style.

I'm not sure I understand the appeal of the cat's paw soles. Unless it's on a vintage style boot.

It looks like they did a great job on the re-sole, though.

Is there any way to order the orvis aviator boot in a 7.5? The smallest size listed is 8. When I called orvis the csr said she didn't think so but she didn't sound like she even knew what boots I was talking about.

    Thanks Aquaphor / Trapp...
I wasn't quite sure in the beginning on how the resoling will change the look but I'm pretty satisfied with the end product. The rubber sole dramatically increased the comfort when walking around and
    looks better paired with denim.

Hey DJ- you are in the Bay Area...where did you get them done?...and how much did they cost if you do not mind me asking? Thanks-

Thor... Bring your boots to Al's Attire in North Beach and he'll give you a quote.

Exact same reason why I always look for the commando sole on new boots nowadays.

Resole looks good. Wear 'em in good health.

Isn't that a vintage style boot?

    I think it looks awesome.

Agreed. Ideal alternative for commando sole on dressier boots, especially as that's cordovan.

Looks like Ravello, yes? I don't usually like NST, but that looks fucking fantastic.

I think it would work well on some of their sturdier shoes as well, like the Indy shoe.

What about on shell chukkas? Too chunky for them?

I'm getting my cigar chukka boot resoled with Cat's Paw right now... we'll see in a few weeks. Pitt Boots look great! Would like to see worn pics of the black shell version too, if somebody's got em.
