I was speaking with Alden DC about the captoe cigar boot on the grant last. Currently I wear an 8.0d in the Barrie an 8.5d in the plaza. Although I wish the plaza were a little bit tighter, the Barrie works for me very well. Any ideas on how the grant would compare?

You may be able to wear 8 in the grant if you wish the plaza was tighter... I myself size up in grant, but I have wider feet. If you have narrower feet, you may be able to do grant in the same size as barrie.

^ i like including the decimal point for 8.0

has anyone had any issue adding a topy to a double waterloc sole? wondering about the oil in the leather causing an issue with the adhesive. i'm gonna need to do something, i almost busted my tail today on slick marble after walking on the wet sidewalk

I wear an 8d in the Barrie and have their Cigar captoe in an 8d on the way to me currently. I would have bought the 8.5d also to try if they had it. I will certainly let you know how it works out for me.

That's hilarious I almost pulled the trigger on the boots? I elected to wait for the next order to get an 8.5d. good luck with the boots, post pictures for the unfortunate people (namely this guy) who aren't privileged to own a pair.

Am I the only one with different crease patterns on each foot? My feet are drastically different sizes but the creases aren't similar. Wondering if that happens to anyone else and if so, does it bother you? It's not a bother to me, I enjoy wearing the shoes and only notice it when I brush them after wearing.

I welcome the outfit pics. Those PTBs (whiskey I assume?) are awesome.

FWIW. I know a guy (Actually he was the proprietor of a small shoe store that sells Aldens) who replaced the ortho heel with something else when it wore out. It changed the way he walked and consequently caused a second set of creases on his Indys.
