If the shoes are in relatively good shape, brushing will redistribute the cream or polish on the leather. So most of the time, brushing is enough.

This is true... But I've traditionally used Alden's "Fine Boot Cream" on CXL boots/shoes occasionally, but I think a some products people use here (Venetian) may work better...

I thought some of you might like to see some close ups of these shoes. I am quite captivated by the broguing.

Nick at Horween recommended Venetian shoe cream. You can use Saphir but it's moreexpensive. I don't think it works any better at least for CXL.

Just my AE horsehair brush and elbow grease. There seems to be a lot of oils in my Indys.
I Love CXL when made into boots. Just got in on the Leathersoul CXL Plaza Wingtip pre-order. Should be a great boot for 2015 when it arrives

    It won't get worse.
I've got a pair of natural CXL with similar wrinkliness in a not too obvious spot so it doesn't bug me.

Went to Culwell & Son in Dallas today just to browse. Saw the Indys on the shelf and decided to try them on. First pair they brought out fit like I glove so I left with them. Very excited to break these bad boys in; admittedly I don't appreciate them very much in their new state but all the photos I've seen of them worn for a while look awesome.
