1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

How does a once piece belt actually work? I was always under the impression with shells that they were only big enough for about a shoe apiece, and as a result shell belts had to be stitched together from pieces of 2-3 shells?

Gentlemen, what is your general experience with going minus half-size length, plus one size width in the Barrie, e.g. 10D vs 9.5E?

That works for my foot. I own both 10.5e and 11d.

I think it can work well however it depends a bit on the shape if your foot. Is the 10D a better fit in length or width? If it is already on the wider side than going out to an E, even on the smaller length, may not work for you. This will be true especially in the heel as it may feel quite loose to you. Worth a try and seeing how it works for you.

I had been on the fence about a particular wallet but today's sale pushed me over the edge. I thought some others may be interested as well

    Happy 4th of July everyone!

I haven't posted in several months, but wanted to share a pretty cool photo. Better fit for the AE thread, but also appropriate for this one...

(Note: this wasn't made for me, but rather passed along by a friend)

If I wear a 10D in Alden's 974 (wingtip bal/oxford), would I also be a 10D in Alden for BB wingtip bal/oxford?? I guess my question asks to compare the tremont last and M-75 last with regard to sizing. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your responses. A D width is a good snug fit, not loose at all, so that actually might work.

Tremont, for me, is tts less 1/2 size. M-75, for me, is tts.

I wear a thin insole with all my shoes except for loafers. With loafers I wear no insole.

    I am:
    9.5D tts
    9D Barrie
    9C Van loafer
    9.5B Aberdeen loafer

I have various Aberdeen Loafers in 9.5B, including tassels in mocha kid suede, color 8 shell, and black shell.

Looks as if Haberdash in Chicago is having a 30% off flash sale today on all shoes, including Aldens. They only have a few basics, but that includes Indys and suede chukkas. Seems as if it's for stock items only though. Code is JULY4FLASH
