Wearing them today -- the left shoe fits absolutely perfectly, incredible support. The right foot feels a bit funnier, almost like the shoe is just a little bit too narrow on the outside of the foot. How much should I expect the suede to stretch?

Picked up the Alden Ultimate Indy that Tom from Leather Soul had up on Ebay last night (12.5D), can't wait for them to get here.

I just got an email from J Gilbert footwear stating that they have restocked the cognac plaza last wingtips.

    I Recently began collecting alden shell's starting with a wing-tip and cap-toe.

I purchased both at the same time and both felt comfortable at the store. Since purchasing them (about 3 weeks ago) I've been alternating between the two during the week and have noticed that at the end of the day the ball of my right foot hurts each time I take a step in both pairs. The left shoes are fine and have been since I bought them.

Has anyone else experienced something like this with aldens? Should I just keep going through the pain, continue wearing them, and break them in more?

Maybe there is something wrong or different with your right foot.

your right foot just may be shaped differently than the left. I know since I started buying non-sneakers that my right foot is slightly larger and this can cause problems. Hopefully it will get better, if not, maybe a cobbler can adjust the right shoe to make it more comfortable.

Wow those look fantastic. I had been eyeing the suede Indy's that they have at leather soul. I have been pining after some suede Alden boots for a while now. Would be all over it if I had $450 [IMG]

I don't like them. They would have been better in the regular blucher wingtip pattern.

Leather Soul is rape for my wallet.

I didn't know alden could be beautiful before them.

don't mean to offend anyone but those Aldens make Trickers look like crap... If I didn't already have two pairs on order from LS, I'd be tempted to buy some of their latest offerings now.
