uncle Mac : those cigar WTBs on the Plaza are drool-worthy.
These, and your Cigar Captoe boots on the Plaza are my favorites of yours.

Here's my almost 2 years old Cigar Indys with some hairy RRL Raw Low-Straight denim

I've defended people giving a head's up to a personal sale, but this is egregious, sir.

I'm partial to antique edge trim to the point of eventually putting antique edge trim on every pair of Aldens I own when time to resole.

Interesting. Do you mean just color 8 or all shell colors? My comment was limited to color 8.

Dress shoes and shoes/boots used casually? Or just those used casually?

I'd say all shell colors and so far my Color 8s(aside from JGilbert captoe), Ravello and Black shell all have antique edge trim. I do tend to use my shoes in a more casual setting.

Welcome to the forum. This is indeed a great place to learn from the pros in a gentlemanlike environment.

My first Alden purchase (a little over a year ago) was the Alden shell Color 8 Chukka. While I love them, I find that the eyelets are not enough to keep my foot firmly fastened within the shoe. That has not stopped me from wearing them weekly, but next time I will go for a six eyelet chukka. If I had to do it over again, I would have definitely gone with the No 8 PTB.

Good luck and enjoy your visit to NYC.

^ Oh yeah! The Pitt is the perfect boot...except it was the narrowest Barrie I ever felt. Beautiful though...especially in that combo

I'm getting worried about my 9.5E preordered Color 8 tankers on the Barrie last - anyone else have barrie last tankers? How did they fit compared to your other barrie shoes?

Does anyone know if brooks brothers will run another sale anytime soon? I'm ready to pull the trigger on the #8 shell ptb (alden) that they offer. Would prefer to get them at a discount if possible. I looked online and saw $10 off order but that was it.
    Thanks

    • Unfortunately the company i work for is too small (less than 50 employees), so i cant apply for the corporate membership.
