So if a 975 is about $650, what if we put a devlish twist on it and said "Let's say you were only allowed to have a shoe collection valued at $2000 total (excluding sneakers/work out shoes)?"

How many Aldens would you end up having?

Interesting. Good to know of a good SE MI cobbler, too. Personally, I would have let him polished them; I bet they'd come out amazing. At least throw some conditioner and Kiwi on them to give them some color, maybe?

    0 or 1. I'm fond of the $400 #8 PTB's seconds I got off TSM.

Certainly not a long-wing. The only value-proposition to Alden is in their shell shoes, and a LWT has to be the worst platform to showcase shell IMO.

Shell Indys have not been on my want list until I saw these. Absolutely magnificent! They are now on my list. Not sure if I should thank you or not. Enjoy.

Disagree on both counts. Alden is quality, shell or calf.

I think the #8 Shell LWB might be the perfect platform for Shell

I only have Whiskey Shell LWB's and I love them and look forward to the aging/patina process to make them even better.
