Since I have each of these:

    1. #8 LWB
    2. Cigar LWB
    3. Black shell cap toe bal, I think it is 901.

    On the wish list:

    Ravello LWB
    Cigar cap toe bal
Dark brown calf cap toe bal

One of them could bump the black cap toe out of 3rd.

    I'll play along
    1. Color 8 LWB
    2. Ravello Chukka
    3. Whiskey PTB/SW (I know this will be unpopular but my work is on the casual dress side)

    1. Ravello LWB.
    2. #8 LHS
    3. Blue Suede Tassels.... not at all versatile, but they get the most compliments of any of my Alden's, so they're an ego booster.

Hello, new to this thread. Can you guys confirm whether or not I found a pair of Aldens? The logo looks a little different from what I normally see:

Thanks! From what era? Are they any good? I've been an Allen Edmonds guy for the most part and don't know much about Aldens. They are black wingtips

What's the model number? Do you have a photo of the numbering on the inside? That'll help to identify - a lot of current models date back to that logo and beyond.

Wow thanks! This who certainly feels a lot more sturdier than me AE MAcneil (cordovan leather). I've always looked at Alden's as just a "tad" bit better than Allen Edmonds...perhaps I should start exploring more...

When I emailed them about this they said dark, but that was last spring.

You may have deduced this already from the link supplied above, but it is the 903 that's the model number. You'll see people referring to some of the more classic models by number, e.g., 990, #8 plain toe blucher or 403 & 405
for Indy boots of different leathers. Welcome to the Alden thread.

FYI, Leffot has several restocked LWB and Indy models up. The alpine LWB is listed as commando, but it's plantation in the picture.
