    That's funny, after I posted that I got so concered I called Alden DC and the lady there (not Kathy, the other one with the kind of exotic name, she's mentioned many times in this thread) said they haven't heard anything about price increases and it's not necessarily every year.

    Stop, Teger. If it bothers you then please, by all means, don't use it. You are being way too sensitive here. Its Mac's way and it is harmless. This is generally one of the most pleasant and least controversial threads on SF.

    Got the tobacco lwb from J. Crew today, they are going back. Color seems like it wants to be orange but is not fully there and it's not really a brown neither. Plus my student who always comments on my shoes that I get in said these felt like "cheap leather" :butbut: compared to the other shoes I've gotten before. It's not cheap but color to me definitely looks off.
    Color on mine is pretty close to this photo:
