Thanks for the order Teger. SS PTB on the Plaza w/CS is definitely a winner. I'll keep that in mind.

sizing advice guys:

If I wear a 7.5 E in the Allen Edmond last 8 (Thayer shoe to be exact)
Would a 7.5 D in the Plaza last fit correctly?

You should consider a lined, snuff suede chukka boot on the plaza last. Alden's unlined suede boot just doesn't do it for a lot of people.

don't know AE. But I wear an 8D plaza... (sort of a roomy fit).

vans=8.5
Chucks=7
common project=40

don't know if that helps.

The biggest hole in my footwear wardrobe right now is a pair of Alden LHS moccasins, but I also really, really want the Plaza-last half brogues on a single sole in #8 from Leathersoul. They are basically perfect shoes.

Can someone explain leathersoul to me? It is an alden retailer, but does custom alden shoes? Or does it get special shoes from alden to sell exclusively at leathersoul
