1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Thanks for the heads up!

Bummed that the unlined chukkas are out of stock in my size (9.5). Great deals for those interested.

Much appreciated CA. One is never more vulnerable than when bending over to take a photo of ones own feet.

As the unlined chukkas are a stock Alden model, might it be worth it to call the retailer, pay the discounted price over the phone and then have Alden drop ship you the shoes directly? Citi shoes did this for me when I wanted an e size in the unlined chukka. No harm in asking...

Hope it works out for you with Rooney. If not, think about the free shoe trees Citishoes will give you or the free shipping you get from Epaulet. Good luck!

Thanks so much for the heads up. I'd been meaning to pick up a suede chukka for a while now and this was a great opportunity.

    +1

This is probably the only whiskey model I would entertain at the present time. Great boots.

Seven, thanks for reminding me about the Plaza. I'm not sure if it was you that mentioned an affinity for that particular last. To me it seems that Alden shoes and boots on the Plaza have a more refined look, even though I've never personally had any Plaza lasted shoes on my feet. I'm not too smart, but I'm teachable. While we're chasing unicorns lets dream that boot is made from Hoween colour #4 shell cordovan. That would kill'em down in SoHo. A guy would instantly go from gentleman to bon vivant. Women would say that man is a "rake".
