Yep I'm on that for the tan suede LWB. Hopefully the wait shouldn't be too much longer on that one, since there's no extra time spent waiting for a rare shell color.

    ack!

I'm just kidding tho, they could take two weeks to get from NY to VA and I'd be happy. I wasn't on the initial pre-order, so my time from start to finish right now is 4-5 days..

Thanks guys. They might be the best Alden boots I've seen.

For those of you who are fans of the Modified Last: do you buy it for orthopedic reasons?

^ I have to imagine that would be the main selling point.

Judging by this picture, this could pass for a dark ravello quite easily. It must have been a particularly light batch of cigar. Or perhaps it is just the picture ....

My cigar shell/snuff suede saddles from Leffot have very light cigar.

That has always been my thought, but it seems there are a fair number of fans of it on this thread that I honestly began to wonder if some like it just because ....

    Mike,

Is the moc toe on your Chromexcel Indy boots hand stiched? I don't know if I have seen that on a chromexcel model

Based on the above boot alone, the last looks much nicer than say, Barrie. It has a nice shape that's a little more stylish while not betraying Americana for European last-stylings.

My own humble opinion, of course.

I think they have to be able to work for your feet, the arch support in particular. But I like the look as well, at least on some models. These PT cigar boots and stevet's Ravello model are really outstanding.
