1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I suspect they wouldn't touch the suede uppers, other than a cleaning and brushing perhaps. There's not really any finish to restore or anything like that. Or maybe they would re-dye?

Is there a new card members code? I'm a card member and haven't received any 30% off code recently. I think the last one was at least half a year ago.

No... and it appears to be a generic code for all card members (and I suspect it requires you to use your J Crew card to checkout)... The code is CARDSTYLE. You should have received a promo email, unless you opted out for those kind of communications?

I see the price of J.Crew's Alden's cap toe boots increased $22 since the beginning of the month.

Thanks! I need to check my account settings. Perhaps I did opt out. Looks like most calf LWB are back-ordered until August, 2013.

They certainly will - I've dealt with that issue before. I currently have an outstanding order for those same boots @ 50% off lol :nodding:

A newbie question are the Alden's made for Brooks Brothers made on the same last as the regular Aldens? Thanks in advance.

typically, they are different. BB versions have their own unique Alden lasts.

Thank you and everyone else for the kind comments. I had originally wanted to try this myself but... the cobbler offered to do it for free, so why not? :)
