1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

For all of you in love with navy suede, J Crew has a new pair listed, along with a natty ptb on crepe. Unfortunately there is no price mismatch like with the black shell cadet shoe.

Are you sure about that? IIRC triceratops only had one butt. Now if they had three butts.....well I guess I am just dreaming. I think I need some professional help. Whenever I see a parade I look at the horse butts to see which would make the best pair of shoes. I have hit rock bottom.

My name is Ahab and I am a shellaholic......

That is just a killer. I want them so bad but even at $500 they are still not in my remodel budget right now.

    I do this aswell.

Everytime I pass a field of horses with my girlfriend I say "they'll make a nice pair of shoes one day"...needless to say she does not talk to me after that.

Looks like they're actually off the website now, and they raised some prices too.

The one on my cart says out of stock. I think they noticed the price mistake. I tried the 25% off code on every pair I had interest on as well but they were all excluded.

I finally caved in... after getting a 30% off promo code from J Crew, so I ended up paying $460... I could have bought them when they were the wrong price, but I was out of the country and it wasn't showing the wrong price point... and but the time I got back, it had been fixed... Oh well.. received them the other day... they're pretty nice...

I tried a Jcrew code this morning on some Alden Cordovan Captoes and it said it wasn't applicable. Was this an "ad hoc" coupon?

It was a code for J Crew card holders... perhaps that's why it worked for me?

That is a great price for new shell. I really like the shoes. They would fill a void in my shoe collection too. Wear in good health. :slayer:

Just got my shoes back from the cobbler - bought these guys from our beloved YouTube-using mediahound. I had a thin topy put on and had the edgetrim changed to match my Marlows :slayer:
