Yeah. You're right. I thought the brown cxl Steinbeck boots at Epaulet were straight brown, but on second thought, you can see the burgundy undertones.

No angry natives with poison darts or crazed nazis to deal with, just an easy Saturday morning doughnut run with my Cigar Indy's....

i'm also in the market for a black boot - why do you not like the trubalance, is is more bulbous than the barrie?

nonwithstanding availability, what are your favorite Alden black boots? i might just hold out of try to do an MTO. the blackbird milkman boot was a pretty sweet offering, and i also like the AF60.

For those that use Saphir cordovan cream - do you use Saphir Reno on the shoes before applying Sahpir Cordovan cream, or do you use seperately. My cigar longwings and RL marlows need work, I am going to go at them tomorrow

I told alden of DC a couple weeks ago that they need to reissue the blackbird milkman's, and they said they would look into/consider it. Email them and tell them you are interested too.

Went to pull the trigger on the J Crew Cap Toe shell boots and they were no longer in stock. Fortunately though, looks like I will only need to wait a couple of weeks. Congrats to whomever beat me to them!

    Congrats.

I'm waiting for mine right now as well.

It's well worth the wait however.
