1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Is it typical to go up a width when going from a Hampton to a Leydon? I understand that the Leydon is a bit narrower than some lasts.

I believe the leydon is actually wider than the hampton, based on:

Here is my contribution towards sustaining "Patina Sunday"

    Year old Cigar LHS

Might not be so much of a patina that they have developed, rather a need for a dose of cream and a good brushing!

Alden's boot creams are not designed for shell, whether in neutral or any of their colors. The fact an Alden employee was using it for shell is truly confusing. I have all of their boot creams and use them all, but exclusively on calf. Saphir Reno and Venetian are rare in that they are recommended for calf and shell. I use both of those products as well, but I prefer reno.

In my experience, the Leydon last fits smaller - shorter and more snug - than the Hampton. :nodding:

This price is insane. This is like gasoline after hurricane Katrina.

Fantastic to have you back with us, Uncle Mac. Congratulations on surviving tax season.
    Fantastic RTP. Love your cigar.
Looking good. Thanks for your contribution. [IMG] Alden x JGilbert #8 Captoe +snapseed Forgive the cuffs being so high; pants pulled up off my ankles when I bent over to take the picture. And here is some unadulterated imagery for those who follow a non-filter school of thought. Just how the boots fell when taking them off. I thought it beautiful. [IMG] Happy Sunday, everyone -
