1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

This last weekend I went to Alden DC and found they had the unlined cordovan ptb with single waterlock soles in E width's. These are amazingly comfortable shoes! I know LeatherSoul carries these but they never get them in E widths. Just wanted to let you know. When LS came out with them their website was filled with requests for Es and they only had Ds, so here's your chance. Great shoe.

The LS website says the lined and unlined are the exact same size. Both are formed around the same last. Without the lining they are just softer. Which does mean they will/may crease more than lined ones.

Somewhat unrelated but did anyone else see the #4 belt for sale on Horween today? Pricey but pretty sick. I thought about the shoe horn but couldn't justify $120 to myself; figured it might be the only #4 I get to own though...

And I should mention they had black and #8. The salesman said he'd suggest to Kathy that they also get it in cigar with natural edge trim.

I have the navy ludlow suit and think it's great. If you are on the slim side, you might consider the slim/taylored fit.

Jim, the manager at Alden SF, has been wonderful to deal with. He's one of my "go to" guys for all things Alden. :nodding:

Speaking of whiskey and Alden SF, Jim tracked down a pair of whiskey LHS in 9C (almost impossible to find) for me - via Alden DC, its sister store (they are both Alden "factory" stores) - about a year ago. :slayer:

Yeah. I looked at that belt and when I saw they still had my size I grabbed it. Not just #4, but ONE PIECE of shell!! For those who have not seen it and want to know how, they are from the full right and left shell set that has not been separated. The quality of the bridge between the two shells is good enough in rare cases to make a full length belt. This was the first I had heard of such a thing and could not pass it up. Already have #8 and cigar Alden shell belts, so this will complement nicely.
