Nice boots, particularly the brown. I personally don't do blue shoes or boots, but many on here do. To each their own. Unionmade usually has a few nice offerings.

I'm not a big fan of straps and buckles on my shoes and boots those brown monk strap chukkas are pretty cool.

those are the exact ones that i have. they're definitely on the side of dandy, but they are amazing. definitely not any every day shoe. not by any stretch.

Beautiful day here in New England. Except on my campus, they decide to water the sidewalks.

Doesn't bode well for my leather soles

They are pretty well broken in. It has decreased but is still bothersome in the right shoe, even with a tongue pad. Left is okay (left foot is slightly bigger). Sizing down a half size cured the heel slip but the narrow Aberdeen toe box pinched the crap out of my toes in the shorter length. Sizing down and going wider was too loose in both shoes. A shame as I really like that loafer style (full strap).

Thanks for all the responses everyone. I like the tassels but a little on the fence as they just seem a little dressier than the full strap.

^^also, the main culprit, as discussed on here before, is the relatively wide heel in the Aberdeen last. It's a little disproportional given the narrow toe box.

How about a #8 or cigar, plain or cap toe high boot? Not quite as versatile, or would you rank it alongside the chukka?

i don't ever see myself rocking the george boot, but there is something about that make up that is pretty appealing.

would love to see pics in the wild when they surface

Agreed. I don't like anything with buckles, but I kind of like the George boot. Would probably buy it if it were in a lace-up model.

I own a now-discontinued black shell boot on the barrie with storm welt. It is the exact same as a chukka, but for the fact it has a single buckle and no laces. I like it quite alot.

These were my first shell shoes almost two years ago. I bought these and Ravello Wingtip boots from Shoe Mart.

Cigar LWB - They still get plant of wear and are some of my favorite casual shoes
