    Alden Defender is your friend.

I treat all my shells with it prior to wearing (and my existing shells once the product came on the market). I too got caught in some light rain today wearing my black shell monochromatic saddle bals. No spots.

that's how i feel about penny loafers such as the LHS. maybe when i'm 55, but not now. if i was going to get a loafer, i'd rather get something sleeker and less preppy.

only possible exception i'd make on alden loafers would be these blue suede tassels, but i wonder if they'd look too feminine:

Yeah. Unfortunately, the natural blows the brown ones I got out of the water. I might have to do a switcharoo.

I personally love the tassel moc. From what I've read, most shoe connoissers view the tassel moc as Alden's most classic make up. The aberdeen fit is excellent and seems dressier than the LHS. Can be worn with a casual look as well as a suit. I've never been a loafer guy, but I'm a fan of the tassel moc.

If I had a mac-sized collection that might not be so ridiculous.

Me = TTS 9.5D or 9.5E, low volume, ectomorph. Still trying to figure out this line ... LWB @ 9D if unlaced, I can slip my foot forward enough to put my index finger between my heel and the back of the shoe. Barrie Lasted. Is this right? Haven't worn a Blucher in some time.. like eons.....My LHS Lined is loose (heel slip) at 9D. But my BroBro Unlined LHS is a perfect fit, slightly snugger than the LHS Lined, w/ no heel slip. Wondering if anybody goes down a whole size in this line to get a perfect fit. Maybe I should order some 8.5D LHS's. Would kill for some feedback before I invest any more $$ in this line. Was looking at the Chukka #8 next.

    LHS Whiskey 9D
    LWB Whiskey 9D
    BB LHS Unlined 9D
C&J for Ralph Lauren Marlow 9D (US)
C&J for Ralph Lauren Marlow Shortwing 9.5D (US) a little loose
C&J for Ralph Lauren Tassel similar to the Arberden last 8.5D pretty tight
C&J for Ralph Lauren PTB (beautiful PTB) 9.5D great fit

While I may give a sight edge to the natural, I think both look great. I really like how cmxl relaxes what I've always felt was a more formal shoe.
    (formal relative to a LHS/penny)

I am not generally a loafer kind of guy but I scored a great deal on a pair of ravello tassel loafers on eBay this summer. They look great sitting in my closet but I have yet to actually wear them. Maybe I'll break them out tomorrow...

However, I would not hesitate to rock those blue suede tassel loafers that the Mexicutioner posted up.

Relieved this happened. Have been kicking myself for not getting in this preorder. Condolences to those we were in it

Like others posted, all have captoe boots. SkyValet also has some and european retailers get them every once in a while (Frans Boon, shoes&shirts, Bureau, TBS, etc)

you sure the heel slip won't go away once the sole is broken in?
