That was it! No batch variations, no spilled edge dressing, just a toe crease (maybe when the last was removed from the shoe?) Lucky, right?

Tassel loafers are the coolest. My uncle wore a pair to my grandma's funeral. Black suit with red socks and black shell tassels. Looked amazing. The only time i'd buy cordovan in black...too cool

I also saw a bunch of black shell tassels at this year's yom kippur services at the mark taper forum...

In truth I don't wear mine very often (but, frankly, I don't wear any of my loafers very often). But I do have them - Alden for BB color 8 (with antique edge by BNelson). I went down one width in my regular Aberdeen size to guard against heel slippage.

I have ravello tassels and love them. I've had difficulty with cordovan penny loafers because of my high instep (had to sell some Ralph Lauren Marlows, haven't been able to fit comfortably in any Alden LHS), but the Aberdeen tassels are probably my best fitting Aldens. They may seem old fashioned, but its how you wear them. I wear them both with suits and with khakis/jeans/shorts.

This "bulge" may happen if you get a D width. It has happened on some of my D width shoes. I don't mind it, but if you do, D may not work well for you

They're definitely a classic style. I've just personally decided that, for now, they aren't for me. I imagine I might feel differently in 10 years.

Damn! Now those look awesome. I find that style of loafer to be very elegant, but in that rough pull-up style leather they look less polished. :slayer:

Does anyone have any idea when Alden will start shipping out the 30mm Color 8 shell belts again? I've been looking for a while (nearly six months), but everyone keeps saying that Alden is looking a different manufacturers to produce their belts and they're all waiting for shipments. The 35mm belts produced by other makers are a little too wide for my taste, and if I'm going to drop $250 on a belt, I want to make sure it's a perfect color match. Dark Color 8 not burgundy shell.

Any info would be appreciated. My thanks to the forum.

I am looking at buying a pair of Epaulet Rivet Chinos possibly. I mainly dress casually - button downs, sweaters, chinos, jeans - best describes my style.

I'm not quite sure which color to get. I don't shy away from navy/indigo too often for pants :). Comfort zone!

I have cigar LWBs, just bought alden x leffot ravello cap toe boots, cxl indy, and chocolate suede shoes (AE)

What do you all think about these with that line up?

(I could only buy one pair from epaulet, and those are two options)

If I could afford it, I'd get the tweed or flannel navy :). But those run ab $235
