^^ I think that's true, and even more true when it's an NST on Aberdeen.

I have ravello models with each trim - dark and antique. I like both, and I like having both. Personally, I prefer my ravello PTBs with dark trim. Others will disagree. I'm fine with that.

The NST shoe on the Aberdeen is probably the pointiest-toed shoe Alden makes, or at least it seems that way.

Since we're on this topic - I wish I had bought the NST boot on the Aberdeen when TheShoeMart still had it in-stock. My feet can't handle the Barrie last unfortunately...

Alden DC has those. And I think they have them in natty CXL as well.

A CXL grab from the recent seconds blast. I had my doubts, but they're growing on me. Fortunately, I've had pretty good luck the last couple of times I've rolled the 2nds dice. I've had 1st qualities that showed far worse defects than these. It'll be interesting to see what retailer this model shows up at.

REALLY? that sounds awesome would love to see. I'm guessing they don't have a website?

I recently picked up my first Aldens, ravello PTBs, and am contemplating my next acquisition(s). My work environment is very casual, so they'd mostly be worn with denim and chinos, perhaps sometimes with a jacket, but not a suit. I'm thinking (current collection sans PTBs here):
    1. cigar LHS
    2. #8 LWB
    3. #8 NST boot: barrie last, commando sole

EDIT: I'm interested in hearing feedback on the above 3 and any suggestions that are not among the above 3.

I think the #8 LWB can go with anything, and it's a beautiful shoe. It would be my pick.
