1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I believe an Oxford is more formal and traditionally has a sweeping (similar to a longwing) design. On my phone right now but will try to find a pick later. Balmoral and blucher are just descriptions of the closure (I think).

This is a good post explaining it:

I've noticed that you rarely see balmoral shoes though. You often see them as boots, which I think the original design came from.

Other way around, but yes you're headed in the right direction.

Wondering if anyone has interest in a dark brown suede cap toe boot on the Barrie last double oak leather soles. The make-up below was from Moulded Shoe a few years ago style #4081. I think if enough people are interested they may put another order in.

I didn't order anything from them, but they answered my email within about 12 hours. I think they are about 6 hours or so ahead of eastern time.

Question for the unlined suede chukka owners....do you want the initial fit to be snug almost tight assuming that the sude will give, well-fitting and comfortable from the get go?

I recently picked up an 11 and 11.5 (thanks to another SF member) and am having a tough time deciding which one to keep.

ok but honestly i really can't consider that an indy boot. its a sleek plaza lasted boot with moc stitching. for me an indy boot has to be on either the trubalance or in a rarer of its incarnations the barrie.
