1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I like shots at this angle. Shows the shoes in a way we don't normally see them. And these are beautiful, of course.

New RL Marlow Wingtip [IMG]Yes I know this is tantamount to sacrilege on this thread, but I think they'll be a great compliment to my growing family of shell cordovan shoes. [IMG] With Snapseed you can really see the different shades in the shell. My #8 PTB 990's are almost officially up for sale. Can't keep everything, or can you?

Awesome! What sizing did you end up going with? Same as Barrie?

Why yes, I did go with my Barrie last size of 11D. Very comfortable within minutes of putting them on.

Just picked up a pair of Alden New England calf split toe oxfords on Ebay, pictures when they arrive. Think I've developed a serious shoe problem since I started browsing in here. Have purchased from Ebay lately: the Aldens, a pair of AE Cameron penny Lloafers, and a pair of Redwing cigar Beckmans. It all started with me buying a pair of Wolverine 1000s three weeks ago.

    HELP, think I'm sick!

Ah, that's my post from 2 years ago. As I mentioned in a later post in the thread, I had the wrong size. Going from 11 E to 11.5 D fixed it.

Thanks to fellow sf'er PhiPsi32, I am the happy new owner of a brand new pair of LS CXL Jumpers. They have just a day's wear on them so far and I am loving them.

Very nice, both Patrick and David... :slayer:

Btw, just listed some cigar chukkas (see sig). Want to move them fairly quickly so all offers will be entertained

Don't do that! Go to a J&M store, or call one up - tell them to place an order for you and just ask them for free shipping. I went to my local one (Prudential) and they had a pretty weak selection of colors. I took the ones they had and had them UPS the rest of them to me. Got all 7 colors for $15 - free shipping... :)

Edit: Those are awesome! Too bad BlackBird isn't still an Alden retailer.

Agreed 100%...if I could trade in my 403s for these I'd do it in a heartbeat. The only thing I don't like is the pull tab, but that can be removed easily

Funny - the thing I like about them are the pull tabs :embar:
