1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I was on the fence about the suede chukka w/crepe sole but after wearing them around the house for a bit, I've really grown to like them. My only nitpick is that they are lined and I love the unlined version, which I have in Tan.

Just spent the last hour familiarizing myself with the #8 LWB that UPS just delivered. And now I already want to order an Indy boot. Not good when a guy with an addictive personality gets wrapped up in Alden. :p (but then again I wouldn't say I'm in the minority here).

Steven at Leffot says that his E sizes always sell out quickly, so there must be a bunch of them

+1 on the Barrie boots. "Alden shoes are a cult". There, I said it. They definitely have their own schtick. mediahound, you sold me on the Ravello LWB's, the J Crew boots and the Marlows. What's next? Kudos on the shameless self promotion too.

Different lasts? I have the unlined Tan on Leydon last as well. Wearing the unlined chukka is like wearing a pick of socks that have a sole attached to them... feel very soft, comfortable, cool, and flexible. But I would prefer the lined version for cooler/colder weather.

I have two pairs of calf LWBs and four pairs of shell LWBs all on the barrie last, and I haven't noticed any difference in sizing.

I like these very much! Do you go tts, or do you size down 0.5? (Same size as barrie?)

The snuff pair are Barrie while tan is Leydon as you mentioned.

Wow, well done sir. Most of us complain about Alden's lack of qc, attention to detail, crappy website, bad recrafting experiences, etc. however, these boots give me selective memory and restore all my faith in alden.

Thanks... This last is in the mid-range of lasts, for me tts works... But the last chart reccomends downsizing a half size...

I'm waiting on another pre-order with Epaulet for a Leydon lasted Cigar LWB. I can probably expect that sometime in 2015. :)

Currently, 3 and 1 on the way. I don't believe in owning tons and I buy and sell them periodically also.
