Also curious that J Crew item 90863 is listed as a bal oxford boot.

From labeling these boots "bal" to labeling various leathers chromexcel when they probably aren't, it's hard to rely on J Crew labeling or descriptions. When buying Aldens from them, just be prepared to send/take what you get back if you don't like it, they take anything back

The LHS is on the Van last. Most wear the same size in the Barrie and the Van. I wear 9D Barrie and 9C Van.

TSM now has the Captoe boot in black shell and 8 shell on the Grant for $677.

A handful of weeks ago it was at 617, then went to 647 for a short while, and now 677.

Between the description and knowing that they had the brown suede with the red brick sole made up and available in some B&M stores, I was relatively sure they put up the wrong picture.

I'm curious to know who's managing their website. They really seem to be screwing up a lot lately.

Looking at doing my seasonal cull of my shoe collection... If you guys could keep only one, would you choose chromexcel jumpers or chromexcel chukkas? Both are great shoes and have good resale value...

If you have a high instep you may have to size up a width to get a comfortable fit. The vamp can be rather tight where the strap so I take an E instead of the my usual D width. Happy hunting.
