I used to be turned off by the olive hue in cigar... Now I have more cigar than anything else, I really don't see olive in any of my pairs.

If you have a question about the shade of cigar, ask Adam, he'll answer you via e-mail

Thank you for the quick reply...very helpful.
Thank you. I've been trading emails with Adam...super nice guy but he says his policy is not to comment on shade or hue. I might just have to roll the dice and hope the pair I get is consistent with the rest of the cigar I've been seeing lately. Appreciate your help.

SeanPrice, A lot depends on where you live and if you're looking for a winter boot or a dressier model. For Winter a Kudu Indy is a great option. For dress, it's wide open. Certainly something in cordovan would be great, albeit more expensive, but worth it.

I would start looking at boots in #8 shell, double leather sole, cap toe or wingtip:

    #8 captoe boot.

or a Snuff suede chukka if shell cordovan is too heavy for your climate.

A great color and great shine on my favorite kind of boot (straight tip captoe). I have one in color 8 arriving today, will post pictures

I've actually asked about this before, but all my lighter shell shoes develop dark gray or black streaks along the creases. I have tried using damp cloth, extensive brushing, and Saphir Renovateur, but nothing lifts out the grime. I have chalked it up to Los Angeles air pollution, combined with miles of outdoor walking to and from work. So far, this theory is supported by the fact that shoes I've acquired since starting a new job to which I commute by car exhibit none of this black streaking.

Looks like a Ravello day. Just completed the shell triple crown but won't go for the grand slam as I'm not a big Whiskey fan. These are my first LWBs and I luckily picked them up off of B&S.
