I have Alden for BB PTBs in black shell and color 8 shell. I actually prefer them over the factory stock versions (9901 and 990) - - but it's all personal taste.

For those of you out there who own color 8 PTBs and color 8 chukkas, do you find that each pair gets enough wear (given their similarities)? Or do you find yourself going with one pair most times - to the exclusion of the other? Feedback appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, thought it was pretty funny. Wish Steven stocked more 6.5/7E EGs though... There are lots of small sizes but they are 7/7.5

I love the Chukka style. It's nicer for the upcoming cooler months and is just more shoe overall. BTW just received today my new Whiskey Chukkas from Alden of NY. What a dreamy color, darkened honey, lovely.
