Pretty much. There've been some posts about this in the past, and you could also have your cobbler do it, it's a pretty small job and shouldn't be expensive. I like the contrast myself.

After a guy has done some experimenting with sole/heel dressing, and provided he has some heavy duty sandpaper on hand, altering edge trim is quite easy. For those less adventurous, a good cobbler should be able to help out for a minimal price. Personally, I almost never let edge trim color make my decision for me. If I am going from light to dark, the original edge trim color is close to irrelevant for me. Dark to light is a little trickier .......

No search impairment here. He had indicated 7.5D Barrie and 8D Aberdeen, which is basically an 8D "real" size. As Aldens are fairly wide relative to other manufacturers, I advised him taking a Medium, as it's better to be a tad large than small, since the trees are spring-loaded and adjust quite easily.

^ +1, and I assume I'm not the only one here who owns more shoes than his wife/spouse/significant other.

This is good because your ravello and whiskeys are noticeably different; sometimes, that doesn't happen

These are stunning. Where from? I have a "preorder" in with TSM for a pair in my size, but they told me mid-late Fall, earliest.

Wow, beauty-full! What's under those Whiskeys? Looks like a #4 peeking out.
