1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

also, Will at LS is the man! got my #8 chukka and natural tankers in yesterday/today [IMG]

took a risk with the tankers on a 11.5C, little tight across the vamp.. anyone had success stretching, if even slightly? I can deal with as is, but just a tad more room would be cash

    TIA

Sorry, are these the CXL tankers? The CXL will give a little with wear.

Interesting - thanks, Seven. I think if you watch the Horween videos you will see shell hides large enough to make into belts. My belt feels and acts like regular shell - It does not have a Horween stamp and I don't remember any of the packagaing stating it was Horween, so it likely is from the Japanese tannery. I know BB used their shell for a while. It has served me well for quite a few years and it matches better than any other belt I have.[/quote]

Glad to hear it, and thanks for the posts on this subject. :fonz:

My brown CXL Tankers stretched a fair amount, most out of all my Aldens.

For me, it depends on the jean. If it is a selvage jean that is long or looks good cuffed, then absolutely. If it is a pair that can either go cuffed or not, I usually go cuffed as I really enjoy watching people turn and look at my feet. Something about the cuffs makes the Alden's stand out.

glad to hear, I imagine these are going to be heavy in the rotation so they'll get the chance to stretch

My wife loves it when a box of shoes arrive. She just goes out and buys something for the house. My $570 deal on #8 LWBs actually cost $1070, with $500 of that going for new end tables. My argument that the old ones were supporting the lamps just fine did not work.

looking good in cap toe boot, wear in good health, consider overshoes, salt to melt snow and ice is detrimental to leather
