Yeah, welts do make a difference. The LS boot looks more casual.

Not sure how I missed this, as I have been searching for some unlined PTB's for a couple years. Most retailers don't do the E widths. Called and they had one pair left in my size! Thanks fellas.

As an FYI, they are on a single leather sole. Sounds like it actually may be the flex sole, but I will know for sure in a couple days.

The unlined PTBs are a great shoe. If they are like the LS version, they are on a single oiled flexwelt, which is very much part of the overall charm. Enjoy and congratulations.

Mostly hype. It's not bad stuff but I don't feel it's the best, esp. for the price.

Beautiful! Love seeing someone else wear nice shoes with non-fancy jeans for once, haha.

The BB LHS are built on the Van Last, just like the 986/987 (of course, tassels are not).
Depending on your foot shape, the BB LHS could fit a 1/4 size larger that their cousins, the 986/987 (because unlined).

Could you share your experiences and use history of defender? I have some but am never really sure when in the process to use. Often, I put some on if the forecast calls for any possibility of rain. However, it seems to dull the shine on my Ravello LWBs. Do you brush after applying? Buff?
