Bals look much better with a cap-toe than with a wing-tip, in my opinion.

    Enjoy wearing!

Can't believe those were natural at one point. They look like whiskey! Did you use some kind of cream on them to change the color? Or did they just age like that?

Once reno'd and 5-6 minutes of brushing after every wear. Just how they've aged, I suppose.

First outing in my new #8 Plaza Indys. Loving the plaza last. Totally changes the feel of the Indy boot.

These are great. EVERY time I see this make up I want to grab a pair but I am fully brainwashwed by the Cult of Cordovan. Great shoes. Wear in good health.

WOW! A rare Teger sighting in the Alden thread. Surprised you still have any Alden's. Just use Reno. You COULD use neatsfoot oil (Home Depot) but that has a greater chance of darkening them. If you have Reno you know how good it is. I use it on my Brown CXL Indy's and it has not discolored the stictching.

Hope you are well. Are you still in college? Still in Richmond?

    Fantastic. :slayer:

Call Alden DC. They seem to usually have whiskey and cigar PTB's or some on the way. It is where I got mine.

Also ask them if they have the belt.
Great boots. Wear in good health. :nodding:

Yesterday I finished up an Alden project. I hardly ever wear my #8 LWB. I like them but they are not as casual as my other Aldens. I decided that what they needed was a Edge Trim change. I've never done anything like this before but i'm really happy with the results. Here are some before and after pics.

May I ask how this is accomplished as an DIY project?

I have a pair of black LWB that I hardly wear, and I would like to do the same thing to make it more 'casual' looking.

looking good Pastor - a lot of nitpickers will probably say the balance is off because the welt is still dark, but I think the natural finish gives it a nice contrast now. And if they were just sitting around not getting worn, sometimes a good facelift will help you rediscover the shoe and put it back in your rotation. Well done!
