:fistbump:

Just noting the way the heel cup (if that's the right term) is handled on these. Definitely a unique and outstanding pair of boots. Thanks for the photos.

Great looking boots! Q, do Kudu Indy's usually come with Alden felt bags? My Tom Austin's didn't. No big, they were 50%. Thanks.

Mine did not neither but they were Barney's 2nd drop so who knows. I think there was a discussion about this a while ago and I don't think anybody got any with the 404s. Glad you got them though

can alden fix this horror? i was offered a full refund by the retailer, but its not his fault, so I said no way. wasn't what i was asking for anyway. I just wanted to know if they can be redyed.
the consensus is that there is nothing that could be done... : (
this blotch wasn't noticed until i was already walking in them outside, as its only apparent in day light...

nephew,
i would send them back to aldens to redye

^ damn, so someone tell me about the different lacing one the toe box on the shell indys. I've seen 3 versions.

1. macs right there that looks like hand sewn lacing similar to what you'll find on 403s.
2. the lacing where its machine sewn (i think) that show up as a row of bumps.
3. a combination with both types.

There are two ways the indy toe stitch is done. Machine sticth, and hand sewn. All calf/CXL are machine sticth. Most cordovan is hand sewn (there are a few out there that are not, like the ones mac has on, from what i can see in the pic.)

the hand sewn are bumpy, the machine is flat.
