1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

is there a retailer stateside that offers a LWB similar to the Alpine Grain Brown from Bureau or Madison Brown from endclothing?

    [IMG][IMG]

I'd prefer shell, but cannot seem to find a middle ground between ravello and cigar.. I'd settle for calf, but would prefer buying stateside.. won't split hairs over the sole, but leather would be first choice..

    thanks in advance!

They are ok, it's a bit lighter than I'd want and a bit too casual looking I think. I'd probably only wear once a month or so as well, and I'd rather put the $400 to shell or Edward Green instead

Agreed. I do, however, find the modified last to be more comfortable than the barrie.

These are my recent acquisition from Alden DC -- Alpine Grain LWB on Commando Sole. I love them and get lots of compliments.

    My weekly PSA:

The Shoe Mart has a few pairs of Whiskey shell PTBs available, in sizes: 7, 8, 9.5, 10.5, 11, and 13.

Get 'em while you can, this is a rare shoe!

I have various models in Alden's color 8 and various models in AE's burgundy shell. If I had to pick one, it would be color 8 hands down. But I definitely like both, for different reasons. In many ways I have a hard time comparing them as they are so very different. Color 8 has more purple hues, is dressier IMO, and is shinier by any objective standard. AE's burgundy is more muted, has some brown hues, and, IMO, is more casual.

I can't even remember the last time a retailer had whiskey PTBs in numerous sizes at one time. Mine, from TSM, in size 9D, are slated to arrive tomorrow. :D

Yes - from this restock. Ordered on December 2 via website. I came upon the restock prior to Beeb's PSA.

Yes. I ordered them 5 minutes before I posted my PSA. Why?
