LS have what they call a "Pitt boot" on occasion which is similar to what you posted. Otherwise know as a plain toe boot. I have one in black calf, barrie last. Very comfortable with the dbl water lock sole and rubber heel. Look around and you may find one. Or better yet, call LS and see if they have any or plan on ordering same.

Oh no this is straight from the shoemart and available in almost all sizes. Just wanted to see if anybody wears them and has fit pics. "Indy Boot Plain Toe"

My friend's been super anxious to get them. He's saving his pennies currently for a natural CXL plain-toe boot. These were his first inclination, but I believe he's since decided to go with Unionmade's makeup, which is just slightly different, as far as I can tell.

Yeah I saw those ones at Union Made, but I think I prefer the elegance of the leather soles on the shoemart version. @david, you're right it's essentially a Roy boot without the crepe sole, and in natural cxl.

Wow, not sure how we didn't catch that before. He may prefer the leather sole over the neoprene/cork sole...

I just like the 270 welt for the Trubalance last. I feel like it balances it out a little, since the last is so wide.

Wait, so Theshoemart is getting rid of all their Aldens?

    Where was this mentioned?

I just bought a pair of irregulars from them, but it sounds like 40% off I could have got new regulars for less [IMG]

those shoemart CXL boots are definitely on my radar for a casual boot. they actually have two very similar boots:

    modified last plain toe boot:

plain toe indy boot, trubalance last:

i'm also on board with you guys about the unionmade boot, i definitely prefer the leather sole on the shoemart boots over the unionmade version.

if i wear a 9.5D in the barrie (cordovan WTB) , does that mean i should get a 9.5D on the modified last (CXL)?

My advice would be a 9D. The Modified and Trubalance lasts are about the same size, and CXL will stretch. I went a full size down on the Trubalance last for my CXL indys, from a 9D to an 8D, and they're already stretching after only two wears. I'm becoming worried that they're going to be too large very soon. Just my two cents.

just got shipping confirmation for my NRO order. They must have a fairly large stock in their store, because the size 12C that I ordered is generally not that common of a size for most stores to have on hand.
