There was talk of Tom Austin shoes closing last month. Their inventory is 50% off, though they don't have very much in 9-9.5. I purchased LWBs and 405s. Shipping for each pair to CA was $20 (no tax). Brian was very nice and checked inventory multiple times for me. He told me they'll stay open through June since they have inventory of "odd" sizes. Give them a call: 212-398-9419.

I really want to grab a pair of the LWB from North River while they're on sale. Unfortunately my brannock is about 9.5B heel to toe with heel to ball being about a 10B. Anyone have any idea what size of the LWB on the Barrie last in C width might work the best for me?

    Thanks

My suede chukkas I ordered are "Being assembled," and they have charged my card. I assume that means they'll be on their way shortly?

Oxymoron: You have whiskey Indy's right? I'm debating between a pair of those or whiskey LWB's. Do you have any pics? If it's a hassle don't worry about it.

Where are you getting whiskey indys? Here a few pics in sunlight, and one without.

I'll just say I've never loved a pair of shoes as much as I love these.

Damn. I think you convinced me. I'm getting them from Alden DC. What size do you wear these? I'm a 9 in the Barrie so I assume 9 in the trubalance as well?

I've neglected my whiskey Indy's in recent weeks for my whiskey chukkas... Time to get back on the Indy train

They are 8.5E, but if I had the choice I'd get 8.5D. I don't know my brannock size, but I wear a 9 in clarks DBs.

I'm a 9.5D (brannock size) and the 9D barrie fits me perfectly, so I figure I should get 9D in the trubalance for these indy's.

Since you're in portland, I'd say go down to john helmer on salmon and broadway and try on some Indys to be sure, unless you already own a pair.

I don't already own a pair, sadly. However, I have tried on a pair of Indy's at J Gilbert up in Seattle that fit great. Called them up and asked what size I tried on and they said 9D. I should be good to go.
