I ask myself that question all the time. When you make daily purchases with your credit card, you are paying the transaction fees. It's factored into the price. If Walmart/Target/Giant offered a discount for cash, I'd pay cash. They don't; so I use my CC.

Anyhow, did I mention I went to Alden of DC this weekend? The staff is very polite and friendly. I recommend dropping in if you're in the area. They have a cut away shoe which shows the different layers of construction.

I do a fair amount of buying and selling of reasonably expensive watches. For anything over a couple of thousand dollars, paypal fees are going to be significant, which is why most of us either do bankwire only (still has risks for a seller), or simply state that a price is the net price to the seller (in other words, the buyer pays the paypal fees as well).

Well, 4% of 2k is $80. Doesn't sound too bad to me for a single transaction. If you were doing tens of thousands of dollars a year, then, yes, 4% would be onerous. But that's why vendors sign up for a merchant account. Transaction fees drop to around 1.5%.

look dudes, its clear that they're not going to read your PMs, you just can't solicit gift payments in your listing because they site's paypal account might get suspended. just do your shit in PM..

Ye, I see you have a couple of beauties which I was very tempted to have a go at.

Trouble with Barrie last is, downsizing also means going wider in my case, and the "D" is always a bitch. I have to size down from a 10"E" to a 9.5 EE.

Tried a "D" in the 9.5 and the length was okay. When I finally broke the bastards in, my wide feet has distorted the shape of the boots that they really looked too crappy to wear anywhere except on fishing trips.

I might make that eBay guy an offer.

Do you have any other Aldens you might consider selling?

Looks like the #4 wingtip boots are back up at The Shoe Mart, sizes 8.5-11.

    Just my two cents...

I'd go for ravello. It I wanted a light LWB, I'd go for natural chromexcel.
