I was instituting "The Method" this evening and as my arm fatigued from brushing, I accidentally scratched the shoe with the corner of the wood handle of my horsehair brush. I was able to brush away much of the scratch, but the indentation in the leather remains, (although it has improved). Does anyone have any experience with scratches like this healing? I wouldn't say its deep, but what I am asking is will the indentation go away in time?

(Its hard to capture on camera)

actually, it is visible in your sales thread. they need to be pushed down a little. you're selling them anyway.

Guys, my apologies for another dumb sizing question.. if 10D (TTS) is ok in width, but just a bit long (looks like I'm more 9.5), will 9.5D Barrie be just the same? I mean, 10 TTS length == 9.5 Barrie length?

understood this is a fan thread, so there's a lot of exaggeration going on. this can be quite amusing, not?

So I received a response from a moderator - I have been banned from Buying & Selling. He did offer up that I can buy my way back in for $500 - so I've got that going for me, which is nice... My infraction? Violating PayPal rules. Yep - PayPal rules. The specific violation, asking for an 4% upcharge if a seller was not comfortable sending funds via PayPal gift.

I'm not going to rant here (candidly, I think I sold 2, maybe 3 pairs of shoes on the thread) and I don't want this to be fodder for the conspiracy theorists (eBay isn't taking over the internet...) but instead it is a warning, they are policing the posts so if you rely on B&S don't get tripped up like I did.

There's been a thread up in both MC and SW&D classifieds for the last week that LAGuy was going to start locking down on "paypal abusers" or those who try surcharge to skirt the 4% fee paypal sucks from every transaction. Easiest now to just incorporate it into your initial asking price.

That sucks so bad. Frankly, $500 is absolutely ridiculous. Charging anything at all the first time seems like overkill.

You should be able to advertise a 4% discount for check or MO. That is if you increase your asking prices to compensate.
