The too snug shoe is a suede chukka. It's 9d, but I really could have gone with a 9e or even as big as a 9.5 d (I tried these larger sizes later to confirm). The 9d has stretched a bit, so I can wear it, but I know a larger size would have been better.

edit: Not the best jeans for this shoe now that I look at this pic. Or they could have at least used another roll...

    They work brilliantly!

But of course. With the flannel greys on I had on that day, the #4 worked perfectly, IMO

Uncle, this is the boot that always makes me drool. Cigar captoe on the plaza is perfection

This is not accurate. All of Alden for J.Crew's longwings are either calf or CXL.

I know they used to make #8 shell LWB. Last time I was at J. Crew in SoHo a month ago they had them in stock.

Does Neats Foot oil darken natural CXL?

Dead serious - I am not a loafer guy, but this has just triggered a search for a #8 LHS.

Hmm, I'm a 9.5 in moc toe, and 10 in chukkas (all rw). I wonder how a 10 context will fit....too big?
