I think they normally use UPS Ground. Maybe you can call them an upgrade the shipping...

Thanks, I haven't gotten a call yet though and if they ship next week it'll probably arrive the Monday after that

Wise choice, the suede Indy boots are much nicer in my opinion.... I was sooooo close to pulling the trigger on the pair that popped up on the 2nds list... and now that you bring them up again I'm getting trigger happy :uhoh:

I ordered mine on the 25th, they shipped the 26th, and are scheduled to be delivered today.

Very nice...what type of soles are on them? I'm a bit confused because on the Leffot blogsite, the Tan Suede LWB listing says "double flex soles", the Navy Suede LWB says "double waterlock soles", and the Snuff Suede LWB says "double waterlock soles" in the description and "waterlock soles" in the caption...On Leathersoul's site, I've also seen similar Alden Suede models with soles that are described as "soft flex insole and single oiled sole"......Do you (or anyone else) have any idea whether these terms should be differentiated?

It at least looks like a single oiled sole.

It's not shoes from 2009. It's shoes from the last 6 months in a size other than D. It's the customer treatment over the phone. A simple "Sorry, we do not plan to order in size X ever" for that particular model would suffice. I grew up in NY and being straightforward and honest/blunt with people goes a long way with me. Having said all this, LS has wonderful shoes and I would be thrilled to purchase them on a published pre-order from their website. I think that is really the only way it can happen for non-standard widths if you don't live in LA or Hawaii.

Congrats! Please post pics of the boots when you get them. Very anxious to see what the finished product looks like. I am on the same preorder.

Thank you - I will store this one in the excuse file. I have 3 boys so this may provide justification for a massive future expansion.

I sometimes have difficulty differentiating between Alden's single and double soles by looks... I have two shoes which I think are single waterlock (navy suede chukkas and J Crew suede bucks ) and two that I know are double waterlock (chromexcel chukkas and whiskey Indy). Honestly, this sole feels a lot more like a double waterlock sole than a single waterlock sole. Also, this shoe is fully lined (some of Alden's suede shoes are unlined)

Others, feel free to chime in, but I think this is a "double waterlock" sole. From what I can tell, the double waterlock is a relatively recent invention that has popped up on more and more custom makeups lately.

It says they use Fedex on their website. Not sure if they normally call, first purchase their and my credit card company was blocking it.

I will post as soon as they get here.
