does anyone know whether the brooks brothers sale will include discounts on alden for bb shell offerings? seems shell has been pulled from the bb website, and searching from item number yields "product has been discontinued," but has anyone tried purchasing shell cordovans in person during sales?

The card I received in the mail states does not include cordovan footwear.

    Nope.
I had a pair in my cart from the other day and I just now tried it.
    Did not apply the discount.

What's the scoop on the sale? When does it start, and how big of a discount?

The website description of the sale also specifically excludes cordovan shoes.

    Interesting.
I added a pair of socks to my cart and it took the 25% off the cordovans too.

The sale is BB friends and family. Code is FNFBB1.

Now to decide whether I actually want a pair of black LHS and a pair of socks.

Hey everyone! I also got my first pair of Alden's and first pair of shell shoes!!! Cigar LWB!!! I'm stoked, but I wanted to ask everybody what they thought about the sizing ... These are a 10 D barrie last... I wear a 10.5 D on the AE 5 last

(I am purposely lifting up my foot in two of the photos to show creasing)

I believe all their cordovan models, save the $998 boots currently offered.

What can I do to have the ripples on my cigar indies be symmetric? I didn't really care for my first of Shell (#8 LWB) and they have ugly asymmetric wrinkles :(.

Now that they are 'set' you wont be able to change the way they have formed. Even when brand new it's hard to get them exactly perfect. The mechanics of how you walk and how one foot differs from the other dictates how the ripples will form. I also feel that the direction of the grain plays a roll...
