1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I tried this a few days ago and got no responses. So I'll give it another whirl...

Anyone own the black shell nst on the aberdeen (model 2211)? If so, what do you find yourself wearing them with mostly (dress, casual, both; jeans, wool trousers, etc.)?

I have numerous shell models in all colors so I am not looking for comments like "get the cigar nst instead". (I actually have it anyhow :nodding:)

    Thanks.

I feel like such a tool, here I was thinking somebody bought the last pair of Ravello Indy's from Frans Boone, turns out Frans and Heidi took it off because they were holding it for me. I told them I couldn't afford them until the 7th... Once they confirmed that I got paid they put the shoe back up online so I could complete the paypal process. Those folks at Frans Boone are classy, very very classy.

Congrats on the purchase. That is high class service. That scare should make you enjoy the boots all the more.

Question: I want a pair of plain toe Indy's in brown, but only see them offered in natural. Would it be possible to purchase them and then just dye the leather to get the darker color I want?

I know it seems like a lot of trouble but I can't find any plain toe boot in dark brown, with the exception of the roy boot. The problem with that is that I do not like the crepe sole.

They really went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and that is something that I will definitely take with me moving forward, if I get hit with duties or fees of any kind I will think of it as an extra charge for unbelievable customer service which I will always pay a little extra for. Frans Boone is among the best I have dealt with.

Was hoping it'd cool down for boots weather but alas it was in the mid 80s today.

Just buy a dark brown pair of Alden's.
PTB in a brown shade is not hard to find.
If you pay $500 only to immediately dye them, you won't be happy with the outcome.

Got my #8 wingtip boots today and they're gorgeous. They're a bit tight across the ball of my foot. Should I expect them to loosen up with wear, or try to size up? These are a 9.5D and the length is okay, but I could maybe do with a 10. Thoughts?

I am considering a pair of LWB.....does anyone have experience with the brown chromexcel? If so, could you provide some feedback about comfort, durability, versatility, etc?
