Just purchased these from Alden Madison Ave. Looking forward to receiving them and posting some additional pics:

    Chromexcel Perf Tip Boot
    Barrie Last
    Commando Sole
    Antique Edge Trim
360 Storm Welt (or maybe Reverse/Split, can't tell yet)
    No pull tabs (small yay)

Looks a bit like the LeatherSoul boot but on a different last, no pull tabs and different welt. Perhaps some other minor differences as well, but OK by me. It's a new boot for them that supposedly came in during the last few weeks.

As noted, sounds like UPS is screwing another Canadian. I've learned to do my own brokering when dealing with UPS. This comprises of several things: letting UPS know so they can prepare paperwork for you, then you go get that paperwork, take it to Customs, along with some proof of how much you paid (receipts, emails, etc), pay taxes and stuff to them, take the stamped paperwork back to UPS and collect your parcel. In Winnipeg, this is a half-hour task from my home back to my home. In Toronto, I haven't got a clue, though I'm certain it would take longer.

Gorgeous. I just ordered a pair too :) I've been eyeing an Indy boot but I think they're just too rugged for me. This is a perfect semi-dress boot.

Agreed. I keep looking at the Indy but it's just not versatile enough for the price. I could never wear it to the office except on the rare day that jeans are allowed. This, however, would look right at home with chinos and a button up.

Actually saw these a couple of weeks ago when I was there. They did look impressive! I would have picked them up but I already have a slew of pre-order boots coming in.

LOL, you are a very decisive man! Congrats. I agree with you, this configuration seems to strike a nice balance.

I am really happy to hear this. I purchased them just based on the pic on the website. Thanks much.

I checked my bank and they charged me $510 as well - different from what he said on the phone or perhaps I misheard him. So we are in the same boot.

Actually, come to think of it, it was $500 as Curtis said on the phone - the extra $10 was for shipping.

Kind of odd that'd they charge more for this than the Indy. Guessing that's the special makeup markup, if you will
