Thanks man. Actually, they fit well despite the size marking as I wrote. And yes, the Tankers that I was comparing them to were the Natty CXL from Epaulet. You been peeking in my closet?

the one in bold above seems incredibly limited in versatility - I'd swap it for one of the items on the wishlist

Update: Since there are no shell options, my man went with the Unionmade Unlined Chukka Boot in Dark Brown Suede.

I wear a lot of black and white in the summer - white chinos or chino shorts, black polo shirt, etc. As a 22/23 year old, I used to wear shoes like this

    With those outfits.

Now, in my upper 20s, I think the saddles are a great upgrade. Plus, they are more versatile than the sneakers... For example, I just got a khaki suit. I can wear a khaki suit with a white shirt and a black knit tie with these shoes.

The 360 welt, exaggerated contrast stitching on the welt, and the micro sole ruins the authentic look of the shoe imo

Here's a C&J for comparison, much cleaner imo:

I have to agree with Alcibiades. I have seen these in person and they look much nicer than the C&J. Having been tortured as a boy by my mother to wear saddle shoes,(many tears shed), I would wear these by Leffot!

I am just about positive that these saddles would really catch my eye were I to see them in the wild. I'm sure Alcibiades will enjoy wearing them.
