There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Jim at Alden SF is great to work with.

I have the captoe boot in color 8 - mine are on the Grant Last from TSM. I was hesitant at first to buy them (wondering if they would get enough use). I'm very happy with them - and they can be dressed up or down quite easily. :slayer:

The wt boots are great as well.

    Correct.

As I type they are on my feet - Ravello.

I was indifferent to chukkas (regardless of maker) until I acquired my first Alden shell chukka (cigar). I liked them so much it led to the rainbow (and a lighter wallet!!), and the rest is history .....

They are very versatile. I dress them up with everything short of suits, and also dress them down with jeans, etc. With pant leg down they look just like the ptb.

Since you already have 2 pairs of chukkas, I would recommend something a little different such as an LWB. Ideally Cigar or Whiskey would be great if you can find it in stock in your size somewhere. Or if you want to stick with boots, then a wingtip boot would be a nice choice.

Well...after posting this I found the exact shoe on ebay in my size at just over $100 so I decided to give it a shot. So...here is the before:

And the After. Still brushing and adding a bit of polish here and there to even out the finish, but came out pretty good. Tried to get close to a RL Marlow color:

    Thanks...JT

^ thats tough. I dont like wearing a leather soled boot and the commando sole is too rugged. I think Alden would look great on Dainite

Is the Indy 403 a good "bad weather" boot? I mean a good go to boot for rainy days with some puddles or slush when you don't want to wear your nicer shoes? Or are they also delicate in bad weather?

Like Uncle says: Whatever I would otherwise wear, +overshoes. I know that they are ugly, but when you get inside you can just take them off.

In my mind, that is a better option than wearing boots with a suit.

I personally wear overshoes for light rain but I have few boots that I do wear when the weather gets pretty bad (for those in NYC you know what it's like when it's pouring and the water gushes about ankle high). When it gets REALLY bad, that's when my wellies come out. I keep a couple of pairs of shoes in my office so I don't have to carry shoes around on bad days. Boots + suits: depends on the boot and the environment but I like the look (only the bottom are Aldens): [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I don't actually wear suits to work, more business casual.. So, the Indy's would look ok on bad weather days.. I'm just wondering if they can stand up to the weather or should I be careful with those as well?
