Are you talking strictly shell here on both pairs?

I have shell LWBs and Chukkas on Barrie in the same size.
The Chukkas don't feel as secure on the feet due to the minimal lacing but they do fit the same.

I don't think the pictures on LeatherSoul's website really did these boots justice. I was a little iffy when I ordered mine but pulled the trigger anyways. My concern was that the sole would likely be very comfortable, it looked pretty damn ugly from the side profile. Once I got them out of the box though, the soul looked much less pronounced that it did on the site.

And the comfort was indeed there. I already have gotten about 20 miles worth of walking on mine just through Sunday and Monday (a few 6+ mile walks) and these things are great. There were no problems with traction and they were much more comfortable than any of my commando soles. I would compare the level of comfort to that of the crepe sole.

Really liking the comfy fit of these Color 8 Cordo Indys. Needs a bunch more brushing though...

Yes, the older I get the more I crave a softer sole and comfort over style.

I have a question: I have a brand new pair of plain toe bluchers that hit the street yesterday for the first time after spending some time breaking them in indoors on carpet. The heel area on one of them feels a bit loose. Can I get some recommendations as to how to get better fit?

    Thanks in advance.

I agree ecox. I'm a big fan as well. Your Cigars look great. I have these as well along with Colour 8 and Ravello. Very comfortable and versatile. Go Chukkas!

As in your heel slips? If it's on the barrie, the heel cup is pretty roomy. You can rock thicker socks...or be patient and the sole will break in after a few wearings allowing the shoe to flex with your foot. This is what i have found with all my Aldens. IMO

I gotta say, I'm shocked these didn't get instakop type love on the fora. These boots may be the most comfortable shoes I own, and think they're bitchin cool with khakis and raw denim...
